The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) directed the PTI to address objections regarding its intra-party elections during a hearing chaired by the chief election commissioner. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Chief Election Commissioner Raoof Hasan appeared before the ECP. Where it was noted that objections remained unresolved despite PTI’s submission of election details in March. The ECP instructed to provide PTI with the objections details and adjourned the hearing.
Outside the ECP office, PTI chairman remarked on ongoing support despite challenges and discussed the possibility of en masse resignations from parliament. He emphasized the need for dialogue and claimed PTI conducted intra-party elections as per ECP and Supreme Court directives, urging for political calm.
Meanwhile, PTI Core Committee expressed concerns over a Supreme Court larger bench hearing on a letter from Islamabad High Court judges. They criticized Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa for not disclosing responses from high courts and accused him of anti-judiciary sentiments. The Committee denounced cases against PTI leaders Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi as baseless.
